These actually don't do well at holding hair in place! I try to use these to section my hair while I am detangling or styling, but they don't hold a lot of hair at a time and the hair keeps slipping out. I guess the lack of "teeth" on these really makes a difference!

I have bra-strap-length 3B curls in abundance and require clips for straightening and styling my hair curly. These clips look very pretty and are very long but I didn't quite feel like they were very useful for the purpose I bought them for – holding my hair in place when I section it for styling or straightening. They keep falling down, or letting hair escape from the section, I have to keep working at it to keep them in place, they hold my bangs in place when I'm diffusing my curls so I guess that's something. Honestly the only reason I keep them and use them is because of the money I spent on them, but I'd rather use duckbill clips, they have a stronger hold. These are a huge disappointment.
