My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I think this color is called “Chocolate Flamboyage” and when I first tried her on I too wasn’t 100% in love with this color as well, and being new to wearing synthetic wigs I really didn’t know what to do with it either lol. I've had this wig over a year now (15-16 months). I absolutely love the look but even with caring for it and brushing it daily (the days I wore it) the very back gets severely tangled. I will still wear the wig, but only if I want to be bothered with brushing longer than usual. I mainly purchased this unit because I wanted a little more length at the top. When I first purchased the Mommy wig before it became super popular a few years ago it was constructed so much better. It's thin in the front with tracks sewn weirdly. I had my original to compare. They mostly look like rush jobs. I thought the Mommy II would be better and closer to the original. It has longer lengths on each side which is what I was looking for. However the cap is bigger than the regular mommy wig and I found it too hard to work with. I trimmed the edges and dyed it and it looked nice but I have a small head so I found it just too awkward. I will stick with the Mommy original for a short style. I made an appoint to get my hair braided in a circle, the type people get when they wear a weave. I must say…….today is October 26th, and I have worn this wig EVERY DAY, with the exception of 3 – 4 days when I just threw on a basball cap. I LOOOOOVE IT! I have naturally long hair, almost @ my bra strap, but this is a way for me to ROCK a short a cut, without cutting my own hair. I literally have people stop me and say…." I love your hair cut" this is no joke. My own sister and several friends, thought I had cut my hair, until I told them. I guess you have to know how to STYLE IT, and ROCK IT with MAD CONFIDENCE! I just received this wig and tried it on and I thought it was great. It is a very thick wig and looks exactly like the picture. But, let's face it people. This is a costume wig, not a $1000 wig. You wear it maybe one night with your costume and that's it. I'm wearing it with my flapper outfit and it will look amazing. I will not have to cut it either, no friz and looks great on my head. This wig was thicker than most wigs I've bought and that was a definite plus! It doesn't quite look like a flapper wig as it is thicker in the back and doesn't hang like the one in the product photo. It is well made and has great coverage–I have super long hair and was able to hide it under this wig with no trouble.
