I've never had a product that does what this product does. I have long brittle balayaged hair and after using conditioner my hair used to feel weoged down and limp. Ever since I included this in my routine, that has changed. I section my hair into two and apply a pea sized amount in each section avoiding the scalp and comb/brush each section to make sure the product spreads evenly. This product also helps with detangling. Degangle with fingers before your comb if you have long hair like me. Whoever is confused about this product isn't using it right..you're either using too much or it's not spreading well in your hair. After application, my hair no longer feels limp. They just feel healthy. If you feel the need to add more shine after this you can use the number 7 olaplex oil, just a drop after this. This routine is everything. Use the amount of product as asked by professionals and you will not find it as pricey either.addie

I have been wearing extensions for some time and decided to up the game and treat my hair to Olaplex. Big big mistake! The product is way too rich for hair extensions and it has completely dried them out! I had a lovely 20 inch, double drawn balayage hair extensions fitted in April 2022 and bought this kit in May.l (then repurchased when I was out). By September I have left 18 inch and dry as the Sahara. If you have hair extension please stay away! I’m not even close to the 12 month mark with my extensions and I’ll need to get new ones because my hair looks terrible. All that money down the drain, no pun intended. In the past I used just a normal cheap ish shampoo recommended by my extensions girl and I still have the old extensions, that I took out just after the 12 month mark & they’re in perfect condition. The morale of my review: just because something is more expensive, hyped & advertised in fancy magazines, doesn’t mean it’s actually good for you.Yoanna

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. This has spurred me on to use up my old oils and then I will be buying this for sure….I also noted that other reviews have suggested other products of the same brand to use at the same time. My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. After hearing RAVE reviews about this product, I finally took the leap and purchased a small travel sized version in the hopes that it would be the answer to my miserably limp, fine hair. Although I was wowed when I first applied it, as the day wore on, I was pretty disappointed. PROS: Smells great! I'm not as enraptured as other people seem to be with Oribe's signature scent (to me it smells like nice salon shampoo, nothing much more?), but it does feel luxurious and clean when you spray it in compared to regular high street brands which can be a bit headachey and chemical smelling. I tried it both in my roots and all over layer by layer) to see how it held up, and honestly – it looks pretty. It gives you a nice, messy, undone kind of look that is effortlessly 'rolled out of bed' voluminous and wavy. I compared one half of my head to the other when using it, and there was a definite increase in volume and it looked pretty glamorous! CONS: You cannot. Touch. Your hair. AT ALL! Once I ran my fingers through it to fluff it up a bit more, the volume seemed to collapse and disappear ENTIRELY. It was super bizarre – even my boyfriend (who watched me spray it in and subjected to my 'are you SURE it's different? Different in what way? Is it nice big? Do you like it?') was surprised at how quickly it reversed back to my normal flat hair. I ended up spraying the whole thing again to try and get it back to being voluminous – very wasteful and I only have very fine medium length hair! Also – it leaves your hair feeling ROUGH and DRY AS HELL. I bundled it up that evening and when I woke up to brush my hair out, I was shocked at how horrible and rough my hair had become! I was really not impressed at all by that point – I have used drugstore products that have left my hair feeling much better and produce reasonable volume. Really outrageous in that respect given how much Oribe charges for this. Overall, I think this is a great product if you're the kind of person who can leave their hair alone once it's all done up – otherwise, any touching will make the hair collapse again. I feel like maybe this would work well with a mousse of some kind and a shine serum (Oribe has a great one in a blue tube!). However, this is a luxury product, and I should not have to purchase and invest more products just to make this work. However, I have friends and relatives who adore this stuff and swear by it. I'd still recommend it if you're already quite good at styling hair and you have lots of hair products already in your routine. But for me, it's going back to the store in a returns box!mun

I highly recommend all Oribe products especially this amazing texturizing spray it adds life back to hair especially day after washing it. I received the ORIBE dry texturizing spray free for testing purposes from Influenster and Oribe. I have long fine hair that gets extremely oily within hours after washing my hair. I have been trying to not wash my hair often and it looks absolutely gross after a couple of days. I have tried dry shampoo in the past but I hated how it made my hair feel heavy and I especially couldn’t stand the white powder that got every where onto my clothes. The ORIBE dry texturizing spray is an amazing alternative to those like me who despise the effects of dry shampoo. The spray is easy to use and the product comes out in a continuous fine mist/heavy burst. The spray has a luxurious pleasant clean perfume scent (floral/citrus) that is long lasting. I like to use the spray after the shower once my hair has fully air dried. I use the spray to slightly style my hair by combing it through and tossing my hair around to create volume. The spray is extremely light weight and it doesn’t have a crunchy strong gel like hold. A little goes a long way! I don’t think it’s intended for that anyway. What is most impressive is that the next day my hair felt like it had even more texture and volume. It made my hair feel fuller and richer. The spray is a miracle worker that works wonders over time. The spray did a wonderful job at keeping my oils at bay and prolonged the look of my hair between washes. Furthermore, no white residue!! This is a product that can be found with all of my other hair products. I use it almost daily, especially when I want a great hair day. I use the serum first and then spray over it. It helps my curls to spring to life. There is no sticky or crunchy residue. The scent is faint but pleasant. I will keep on purchasing this because it works perfectly in my hair.Stephen

I literally just finished blowdrying my hair w/ Straight Guard for the first time and was already composing my review halfway through. I don't think I've ever raved about a product before, but this is AMAZING. My hair is softer, smoother, and shinier than it's been in more than a year (after some coloring mishaps). I usually use a mishmash of styling products before blowdrying–FrizzEase serum, a leave-in conditioner/moisturizer spray, a split-end healer, a straightening cream/heat protector. But this time I decided to just use the Straight Guard to see if it worked standalone, and my god, it was fantastic. I'll start at the beginning: the bottle uses a pump, which I always prefer because you can dispense a more precise amount of product. Just a little bit goes a long way; my hair is shoulder length right now, but thick, and the product itself is incredibly lightweight (something between a cream and a lotion) so it spreads easily. You can actually see a pearlescent quality in the cream, which translates to shine on my hair like I've never seen. I'm not sure if it cut drying time at all, but I actually noticed an improved straightness to my hair. SO MANY "straightening" creams/serums promise that result, but I always have to go over my hair with a flat iron after I'm done blow drying. Supposedly that's good for locking the cuticle, but putting that much more heat on your hair just never seems like a healthy move. Straight Guard eliminated that step. And did I mention my hair is shiny, soft, and smooth as all get out? So for the time saving, the fact that it takes the place of all those other products, and the sheer quality, this one is more than worth the price. I’m a huge fan of pretty much every Chi product. I’ve been using Chi straighteners since I first started straightening my hair 17 years ago, even trying many other brands and quickly going right back to Chi. I have probably 15 different Chi hair products at any given time. They’re all THAT good! Chi has just mastered hair care and styling, in my opinion. This product is no different. As I mentioned, I’ve been straightening my hair for a long time, so I’ve learned that you need good products to protect your hair from all that heat and potential damage it causes. I tried this product because I’ve tried so many others by Chi and loved them. It is a good product to help protect from the heat and damage your straightener would cause, it makes your hair super soft, and it does seem to help extend your straightened style. I, personally, have naturally straight hair, so I don’t need a whole lot of help keeping it straight. I mainly do it to iron out a few spots that get wavy (in the back underneath, on the front sides near my ears). I can’t say how it will do with someone who has naturally curly hair, but my crazy spots didn’t wave again while using this product, and these areas normally would wave up a bit, especially if it’s really humid outside. It did make my hair a little greasy the following day, more than with the straight guard spray that Chi has, but I do have oily hair. This may not be an issue if you have dryer hair. I would say it is worth trying!ariel.p

First of all dont let my rating disappoint you on the shampoo. Ive been buying at my salon and due to current restrictions felt guilty asking for it to be delivered again. My hairdresser has already dropped me a bottle off but felt cheeky asking again. My only reason for low rating was sadly the top wasnt screwed on properly and when I removed from packaging my bottle dropped to the floor and I lost quite a bit of shampoo. Probably one of the best purple shampoos you can find. I dont have blonde hair and never have. I have pitch black hair but use this for shine and let me tell you it adds shine. And I love the smell, of all milkshake products absolutely love it. Does wonders to blonde hair is well as the purple is super pigmented. Would recommend using in conjunction with a moisturizing shampoo as it may cause dandruff andor, especially in people with dry scalps. Would recommend that blondes or people with greywhite hair use it once to twice a week because it can turn your hair purple. YES I repeat, its so pigment that it may turn your hair purple. I have natural blonde hair and tend to add brown lowlights occasionally. Once I try to go back to natural my hair always tends to look brassy then orange. This stuff is the best I have found to take the brass out It will stain my nail beds so I use gloves but its worth the extra trouble. Over lockdown I grew my hair out like a lot of people and decided to go to for a traditional barber cut afterwards ending up with a slick back style. I found my existing hair products a bit lacking so decided to look into getting more professional (if you will) products. After some research I liked the look of Uppercut's products and also their brand ideals and after browsing their site settled on the Matte Pomade. Now that I've been using it for a while and figured out the best amount and application for my hair I'm really pleased with it. It's light and not too shiny giving my hair a natural look which I really like. It also washes out well with water meaning I don't have to put my hair through shampooing every day but still working without making my hair greasy or limp a couple of days after shampooing. I do find I need to hold the sides with some hairspray but that could be down to my hair or inexperience in styling longer hair (any plans for adding hairspray to your range?). Just on a side note, I was sent a really handy little guide with the product that gave scores out of 10 for hold and shine for all the styling products which was much more helpful than the info on the site in my opinion. I think the guide being online would be a good idea. Very happy and will definitely be returning.Robin M.

Seems quite effective in adding volume for men with a finer hair type and looking for a product that does that. Could be re-applied intra-day if desired or needed, as it is to be applied to dry hair rather than wet. I would say this also means it doesn't really combine or work very well if you try to add it after using another styling product (say you wanting it just to add more volume for example). It functions more as a standalone product from what I've found. Because it has a less firm hold it should work well for those after something to allow a looser natural-looking style and adding volume at the same time, less so for those who want a style that needs a more controlled styling product with a firmer hold to pull off.Luke

I enjoy changing up my look from time to time but in doing so I have found that many wigs quickly can get unruly. When starting out I had no idea how to maintain my wigs so I had to really learn through suggestions and trial and error. This product was suggested to me and I picked it up to help give life to my wigs and keep them looking a little more kept. While this spray was helpful especially on curly wigs I noticed that it made my straighter wigs look more oily than conditioned. I now use this only with textured wigs and it makes them look fabulous.crystal.c

This product is a great answer to prevent frizz and tangling of your extensions and natural hair. I tried oils and 100 other things to stop the snarls in my extensions, this is the only product that has worked. Not only does it keep your extensions soft and conditioned, but it also does the same thing for your natural hair. It also protects your hair against flat irons, blow dryers & curling irons. I noticed less breakage, hair feels moisturized and soft almost like when the extension hair was new. Great Product!ceillia

This is a great brand and product. Although I like the spray cans better. I got this years ago along with the conditioning spray on amazon. It really revives and makes your wigs look brand new again. This product is the reason my wigs last for years. i have an angled bob and this product helps me piece-out the ends but also enables my style to last for days. it's lightweight, holds well and hair can still move. for strong hold i'll warm a dab between the fingers of both hands and apply to ends. for overall style hold i'll clap it till the strands are long for a lighter, softer (but definitely effective) hold.deborah

I have used many brands of hair texturizer, but this one is by far the best. Lightweight and smooth enough for easy application, but strong enough for great hold, and not heavy, greasy, or waxy. I have a pixie, and this gives great texture. Non messy pump applicator. A little goes a long way – I use half a pump. Light hairspray after and good to go all day. Love it!Vic

I really like this as a light hold product. I have quite fine medium length wavy hair and this really works for me. I struggle to use traditional men’s styling products (i.e. clay, wax, pomade) as they just clump my hair or make it feel horrible. Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shaping Cream is one of the best hair grooming products around. I have been using this for the last 5 years, and it keeps my hair looking great even at the end of the work day. I keep my hair short for easy manageability. The product smells nice (although I couldn't detect the tea tree scent) every time I open it, and shapes my hair to the desired style easily. I find that it works better on dry hair than damp. I also like the fact my hair looks matte and natural hours after, even on warm and humid days. Just a little product is required for every application which means one can lasts at least three months for me. It's also easy to wash out with a deep cleansing shampoo. I did not like at all. It didn’t hold and is a bit greasy. I would not repurchase even if it was the last product like this one the shelf. I got this product to do a braided style as it was highly recommended on YouTube. It did nothing really on my type 4 hair. My braids and roots were fuzzy not long after installation. This has become my new go to product! I use this to do hairstyles like braids, pony tails. tame my edges and I absolutely love it! I do add a scarf ontop to flatten all of the little hairs and this product does not make your hair SUPER hard niether does it create flakes which is great for reapplying. Just got this delivery about 15 minutes ago. While I love the smell and the light hold of this product I am not too pleased with the minor condition of the jar itself. It came with the top sticker ripped, and the content was half full, although it appears that a good bit of it had transferred into the lid. However, this is unsatisfactory and I plan to return it and ask for a new jar because I am uncomfortable using this product, because I feel like someone else has already used it!Toni
