I received this wig – # A1228, Meg Whisperlite Petit in SF 51/60. I returned it because it appeared to have been a return. It was thinned out or trimmed in some way that completely changed the style. I ordered and paid for a new wig. I own 7 of these wigs in this style, color and size, so I know what they should look like. I was very disappointed. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, but this time instead of trying to make the best of it and use something I was not happy with, I returned it for an exchange. I don’t think I should have to pay any restock charge or any other charge for this return. It was your fault in sending me a defective wig, not mine. I wear them as styled straight out of the box as they are. I am telling you, this one did not look like, nor was it the quality I have had in the past with this wig. I am not happy.Jo
This order is yet another attempt to find something that is wearable from PY. I bought 2 of these Meg wigs in different colors, and sent back the Lt Blonde, it looked like a light bulb on my head. The other one in Platinum blonde looks like a barbie dolls hair. I powdered it but it still glows. I paid my hair dresser to cut it down, and I trimmed it again. Pro: This order looked new, unworn. (My first looked very worn, I returned it.) Cons: Netting in front shows unless you plaster hair down just right. Sides & back are way too thick. Mine's been trimmed 2 times and it's still too much. The picture shows the hair off the neck, but after wearing the wig for 6 hours, my neck & upper back where the hair rubbed it was red and sore from the scratchy synthetic hair. I used the wrap band to keep it in place, and knew the wig made me extremely hot but when I took the wig off, my whole head was a sweaty mess. I haven't worn it since. I hate it. I ordered 2 Wiglets 7 days ago, in Humane Hair to see if that can work. They were suppose to "arrive no later than 4pm today," but no show. (I've come to NOT rely on this company's word though. You’ve changed the Meg wig, and not for the better. I bought this wig in 2015 and I loved it. Last year my sister bought the same wig. She came to my house with it, not happy. Saying differs than one I bought. I didn’t think she was right then. I do now, after recently buying again. It’s shorter. And let me say, I got a recent catalog, saw many I liked. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. I was excited when I first opened the box. The texture and color of the hair was perfect. BUT, you can see the wefting and even when I pulled my own hair through, (which takes a LONG time), you can still see the wefting. The piece doesn't stay in place either. There are no clips to hold it in place. I was excited that I found a piece that would help cover my thinning hair at an affordable price (My husband and I were just laid off due to covid impact on our company). My hair is thinning and has to be washed daily to give it body. So I wanted a wig that I could use that looked like my hair to wear when I skip a day washing mine. It took me a fews weeks to get brave enough to wear it, but today I worked with it and pulled some of my hair through it and styled it like mine. I wore it to visit a friend and she didn't comment as if she thought it was my hair. I was amazed at how much it did look like mine. It's not uncomfortable, but I know it's own. I need to sew some wig clips in it since he feels like it pulls up in the back and makes my head itch from the movement. I've never worn a wig, so I'm adjusting and learning. I've order 3 wigs and so far this is the only one that I didn't trim & actually like the style. It's not as thick as the other wigs and therefore, I think it looks more natural. I don't think it looks exactly like the photo on display, but I think it depends on how much of your hair you pull through. I only pulled some around the hair line. Give it a try if you get the correct color. I ordered the Golden Wheat & love the 2 tones in it.I think I'm going to enyoy it once I adjust to wearing it. Absolutely love the volumizer as I've never liked the wig feel with a full cap. It's just too hot for me living in the South but this piece is open weave to pull my own hair through which feel cooler and stays in place much better for me. My only disappointment was the top which has very little hair sewn in that my scalp shows through in places. But then I have almost no hair of my own so there's nothing to pull through. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve
