These 2 inch spin pins are impossible to find in any store around me. I was watching a hair tutorial on you tube, and she mentioned these. Good quality. I use 4 to make a messy bun. I placed them all into the bun, and somehow they can all intertwine together, but it is easy to get them apart. I also air dry my hair until it is just a tiny bit damp, and put three little buns on top of my head. The next morning, I get big beachy waves. If I dont like how the curls come out, I put on a protective cream, let it dry and then re-curl my hair into my desired style. I have always struggled with ways to keep my hair in a bun b/c my hair is long, coarse/thick, and super straight (Asian hair). Scrunchies and every hair tie you can imagine never worked to hold my heavy, thick hair up. These spin pins WORK! No joke! Our office recently moved to a new building. Upon arrival, I noticed that the walls were short and not padded at all. Now I can hang my calendar and other documents by sliding the device through the paper and weaving into the fabric of the walls to secure it!

I wish I'd tried a pin like this years ago. I have long, thick Asian hair that has broken every claw clip I've ever used. And that's if I don't break the clip by dropping it on the floor or when leaning/laying my head down. These are durable, comfortable and securely hold my hair. I laughed when I first saw these, cause, $10 for 2 pieces of metal? I don't even remember what possessed me to buy these. BUT LIKE WAIT these are really great. My hair type is straight but VERY thick, normal elastic hair ties can't hold it in a pony. I put my hair in a cinnamon bun with a plastic clip, and it flops out by lunchtime. Two of these pins keep my hair up every day, and has even stayed when I fell asleep. I've tried so many other types of people's tried and true favorites, but I've never been successful with them. My daughter has really thick hair and long, no hairpins ever survived after one use…even bobby-pins always go bad. However this product, these hairpins are awesome! These hold her super thick hair in place where we want to keep bun, and still stay in great shape after use…so far, I used least 20 times and none of these went bad. I purchased another set just to have backups, but wouldn’t need them for a while.Asuka H.
These pins are live up to the description but not exactly to the hype. They are very solid, I don't feel like anything could bend them out of place. Because they are open (unlike normal bobby pins), they hold the bun together laterally and vertically. In a pinch, I can use only one pony tail holder and 2 of these pins and my bun would stay in all day! They also have very nice coloring. My hair is darker golden blond so usually my choices are either white platinum or very deep brown but the 'blond' shade in these pins is really perfect! However, these pins are sort of difficult to put in and take a bit of practice to do well. Also, I wouldn't suggest these to anyone with with thinner or short hair because they will stick out. In general these are convenient but I don't find them necessary to life, and normal hairpins are cheaper.Lovediscountdance
