Taz Wig Studio 1 For Sale (2023 Update)

I adore Voltage! I first got her in SS11/29 Shaded Nutmeg, but I have warm olive (green) skin, and the overall reddish tone of the wig clashes, so I almost never wear her. But she fit so well and was such a lovely style, I decided to buy Voltage in a color I would actually wear. I got the R511G – Gradient Charcoal. She's so pretty, but for some reason, this wig doesn't seem as full or as long as the SS11/29. If it were identical but for color, it'd earn 5 glorious stars from me. I'm mildly disappointed — I still love this wig! (But now that Trend Setter comes in Large cap…)Karen M.

I would highly recommend VogueWigs for both their excellent customer service, and in particular, the Raquel Welch Voltage and Sparkle style wigs. My own hair needed a break from colouring and hairspray, so I decided to order the Sparkle wig about a year ago, and wear it for 6 months. My photo is the Sparkle wig…colour Mocha Foil. loved it so much, that I now wear a wig all the time. The colour and style are similar to my own hair, which has been thinning over the years. I receive compliments frequently, asking who does my cut and colour. My answer is always the same…VogueWigs! Always love the look of surprise! I now have two of each style of wig. And best of all…at age 70…I feel much younger wearing my wig! And I'm ready to begin the day in 10 minutes…including makeup and wig! One of the best purchases I have ever made!Lavene C.

Great product. I was told I look 20 yrs. younger. I will be 71 yrs. old in Aug. I am going to order another wig in April. Pending if the color is similar to what Rachel Welch has on, RL29/25. I would like the photos to be more accurate with the color charts. For example, Russet Ginger Blonde can look bright red, compared to "Strawberry," with the wig, RL29/25. I have viewed several sites with Rachel Welch wig, RL29/25.Shawnee

so far, I've tried three wigs from this site (for reference, one was $100 more than Rylee, and one was $100 less). Rylee is my favorite — I bought the ginger-brown to try and match my natural color and previous wigs. this color was exactly as expected. plus, the cap fit and adjusted well so that the hairline looks natural even after weeks of everyday wear. it does shed, but so has every wig I've bought. plus, despite that shedding is annoying in terms of "cleaning" up the mess, it doesn't really take away from how real the wig looks. any fraying at the ends can be offset by a trim (I did this myself!), since Rylee has the upside of longer hair. I will purchase again!anonymous

As a first time wig buyer, my remarks will no doubt have those of you more experienced rolling your eyes. Firstly, this is not a "take from box, shake out, put on your head and go wig." I had to work with it quite a bit and I'm still not quite satisfied with the style. The color is lovely, the fit is good. The straw-like texture of the hair is a little disappointing, especially around the face. I believe it has possibilities and I am going to keep it. It is the best of the six wigs I tried with other companies and returned. Photo doesn't really represent the actual color and look of the wig on my head, but here goes.Rebecca L.

Felicity is simply a great all around girl! The fibers are not too shiny, realistic and comb out easily. It's a no frills cap, that would fit an average, however because my head is petite, I take her in, to remove the bulk. One does however have to really work with obscuring the permatease. But the more you move the fibers around, it's great. I love wearing mine in a twisted updo. I do trim the length, but that's my personal preference as I have a petite face. Too long of a length isn't as flattering. At such a great price point, I'd recommend her. Also fast shipping! 😃Melody W.

The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. Also I would like to add that this week does not shed at all so I am expecting it to last quite a while.I gave this four stars only because I do wish there was slightly more hair in the lower back region of the cap.Patricia D.

I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT

Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I have yet to be disappointed with the Raquel Welch brand wigs. Thank you Wigstudio1 for always getting my orders to me in such a timely manner. Makes me so happy to know an order is heading my way. I just wish I had discovered wigs many years ago when I started losing my bio hair would have saved me many tears when I was buying every product out there to get my hair back. I just started having to wear wigs about 6 months ago and since I don’t have any wig shops near me have had to rely on purchasing solely online which is very scary… this wig exceeded my expectations! Very natural looking on and instantly made me look like I’d just walked out of a salon. I love the rooted color and the highlights- seriously looks completely natural! If you have any worries about people thinking you’re wearing a wig “let it go” because no one will have a clue. Wish I could leave pics because it is stunning!Sherry

I recently had extreme hair loss due to alopecia and needed to purchase a wig. I have never had to do anything like this and didn't know where to start. After looking through SEVERAL websites and styles of wigs I chose Always. It came in promptly, less than a week. It was beautiful right out the box. I wanted looser curls so I combed it out and it looked wonderful! Day 1, I wore it for maybe 4 hours out running errands. When I got home the ends were SO matted and tangled. The ends of the wig look like damaged hair, frizzy and crinkled. I have not used any heat and I have not washed it yet. I've worn it out twice and it looks terrible. I did buy the synthetic hair care package and been applying the products as directed. After purchasing this wig I now know what not to get and what to look for in a wig. I really don't think it will be another Raquel Welch wig. I am so disappointed and hate that I spent $150+ on this poor quality wig.Mariah

I have this wig in the colour R6/28 F which is chestnut brown with red frost. I would say that the highlights look more blond/golden than I expected but looks good either way since they are evenly divided throughout. The fibers are smooth with fine density. A little shiny, but not too much. The wig is cut in layers that gives a lift to the face and a feminine shape. The length is practical with the longest locks in front and short hair in the neck. It would be a good to idea to ruffle the middle part a bit as the zigzag middle part may seem a little too perfect. I generally like that the hair color is not in one color/solid as it can make it clearer that it is a wig by giving a clearer contrast to the face – especially with light skin tone. The lace front presses a little into the forehead and there could have been a larger amount of hair. If you are completely bare for your own hair, then this lace front can give away that it isn’t your own hair line – but then again, this can be improved by changing the middle parting. The cap is comfortable. Overall good value and a safe choice straight out of the box.Kristin

my new Avalon wig is a disappointment. I loved it when I first got it, but she tangles constantly. It's much more excessive than the normal tangle. I noticed the density is lighter than the Avalon from a few years ago. I'm not sure if they changed the fiber itself, or if I got a dud. The nape on most wigs tangle and you have to use the wide tooth comb and detangling spray throughout the day. This wig is in a constant state of matting and tangles at the nape, and even the outside portion of the sides and back that do not touch clothes are just constantly tangling, the fibers are also looking frizzy very quickly, not something that usually happens on the parts of the synthetic wigs that don't come in contact with clothes. I can't return it, I already cut out the tags and adjusters, I am just surprised that this is happening this quickly on this wig. I know my Finns in Americano and Toffee Latte wore out at the bottom sooner than the normal colors, I figured it was due to the hand painted colors at the end, when I had my MacKenzie in 8/12 those fibers lasted. That's why I chose a regular color on Avalon I figured it would have been better than the coffee collection colors. But this wig is not holding up. I did at the suggestion of Amy @ wigstudio1 try a conditioning treatment, I used the Estetica conditioner and the Bamboo Silicon and the fibers still look matted, frizzy and almost like the fibers were razored. I've only had this wig less than 2 weeks. Most synthetics last substantially longer for months and years.cecelia g.

I had originally purchased Orchid in Iced Mocha, but that color was on back order until the end of May, so I went with Caramel Kiss. It’s not the perfect color for me, as I prefer cooler tones, but she’s absolutely STUNNING! The only thing I really struggle with about the color is the one harsh and chunky blonde streak towards the front. Everywhere else, the colors are beautifully and lightly streaked and blend very well. I lean more to a petite size, so she does shift if I don’t use “It Stays,” even with tightening the straps. I also wish the permatease wasn’t so thick at the temples. Her movement is flawless and she looks very natural. Although, the knotting at the hairline is a bit thick and very dark. I did carefully pluck a little and feel better about the lace front, now. The length is perfect for me as it’s the length I’m used to wearing with my bio hair (until I recently cut it to fit better under wigs). She’s my first wig, with Heat by Jon Renau being my second. So, we’re still getting acquainted. But, the more I reach for her, the more comfortable I’m becoming wearing her. I’ve been suffering hair loss for ten years since having a radical hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. So, to have a thick and healthy head of hair, via wigs, has been a wonderful experience. It is an adjustment, but I know it will get easier and feel more normal the more I wear her.Cherie R.

When I first received the wig I was worried that it would be too thin. But, when I am wearing it, I find that the lower density looks extremely natural and more realistic than the overly thick human hair wigs I have had in the past. The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. Also I would like to add that this week does not shed at all so I am expecting it to last quite a while.I gave this four stars only because I do wish there was slightly more hair in the lower back region of the cap.Patricia D.

I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

The color and style of this wig was absolutely beautiful! Great quality, great style, great price & would definitely recommend for gals that prefer darker colored hair. Unfortunately when I held this one up to my face, the color made me look completely washed out. I have started the return/exchange process for a blonde color. I have 100% hair loss and a sensitive scalp. I bought this one to wear around the house with a thick cotton liner on those days when I need a break from the adhesives I use with my 100% hand tied wigs. It's a great style. I wish it came in a 100% hand tied version WITHOUT that cone-head "bump" on the crown that's so unnatural. Since it's a wear-away-from-the-face style, the lace front should be ear-to-ear instead of just the crown. Please find a more comfortable lace because the standard is itchy. The Glazed Strawberry bills itself as a "light red" but it reads as brown. I wish more wig manufacturers offered light reds that look honestly red, not brown, not orange/ginger, but real red strawberry blonde with blonde streaks. Glazed Strawberry is nice but just too dark and too brown.Tish

This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT

Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I have yet to be disappointed with the Raquel Welch brand wigs. Thank you Wigstudio1 for always getting my orders to me in such a timely manner. Makes me so happy to know an order is heading my way.
