…..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. As long as this wig is available, I will continue to order as it as the best style for me, but I really wish Toni and her manufacturers would address this issue.2MuchTrouble
My Ist purchase was the brown/gray hairpiece duo and I was impressed by the quality and the exact match to my hair color. Easy to wear. I purchased this style because it is my exact haircut when I wear it short. Beautiful package, black and white box with instructions, wig in a net and the stocking cap. Well, I finally tried it on today and all modesty aside, I look absolutely too die for Cute with a capital C adorable and my picky Virgo husband just freaked out in a very good way. The color is incredible, the hair looks exactly like my real hair at every angle. It is pretty easy to put on too. I suffer from overheating and l left it on for around 2 hours at home in AC but in Miami, and forgot I had it on. I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. Well, it had half of the amount of hair I have. It felt super fake, like nylon fibers; it didn’t move like natural hair. It obviously look like a wig. Absolutely awful. I’m pretty sure that some wigs I saw on the big online retailer for less than $20, look and feel better than this. Extremely overpriced. I received this wig yesterday and tried it on immediately. It is a great style but there is so much hair it looked like I had a motorcycle helmet on. Very disappointed because I had to send it back today. Sorry QVC I really wanted to love it. I love TB wigs….this price point is so great. The wig always looks better in person that it does on the models on tv (sorry). But Toni always looks great because she makes it suit her and that is what we have to do as well. The light blonde is the perfect blend of light blonde, beige blonde and brown roots. It look so real and I am a type-A person…this heat friendly fiber is NOT shiny or wiggy looking. The back view of this wig is what I have been looking for on a short wig…perfect length/good coverage. TIP: Do not brush your wig too hard.. it ruins the fibers. You can find lots of help on youtube for heat friendly fiber wig care. Go easy on it. Use your hands to style and little hairspray for flyaways/or "piece out" creme made for wigs to style. I have almost every style of Toni's and this short style is perfection. Title review really says it all. It is way too big, unless you have a big head. It either comes down to the eye brows (and not the hair falling over the brows, the hair is in your mouth) or if pulled back, it slides down your neck. In either case it covers both ears completely or if you put behind your ears, it then sticks up on top like a conehead. In any case, if has to be defective. I can't imagine anyone could live with a head that big. You couldn't hold it up! But take your chances on ordering one. If they can make a huge mistake like that when making the wig, then how good is the quality? How long could a badly made wig last? It does not feel like real or look like real hair. And I thought my own hair is thin, the wig is thinner than my own! It does not come styled. You will have to style it and put on a lot of hair spray to keep it in control. There has to be better wigs somewhere. At the price of this one, I was very disappointed in this wig. I would recommend Clipperpro toe nail clippers for those who clip their own nails. The clipper head swivels & locks in place so you can hold the handle just as you would hold the handle on your car door and the cutting end faces you toes. They are perfect for anyone, but super great for people who have a hard time using the old fashion kind. Check them out on the video. I had several problems with this wig. At first, I didn't understand what the problem was and then I figured out that the major issue was that it was too big for my head. Also, there's so much hair that it made it look unnatural on me. Another major problem is that the root color on the blonde (I tried light and medium) is much, much, much too dark unless you are a natural dark brunette and you would actually let your roots grow out that long. I will say that other than that, the color shading of the blondes was very nice. I never wore this outside the house because I thought the hair strands looked too much like nylon inside the house and thought they'd really look bad in the sun. There is no curl to this wig as shown in the online photos. It is stick straight so prepare for that. I got red/gold which is more gold than red but is pretty. The roots are very dark so looks like someone with very dark brown hair dyed their hair red/gold and now need to touch it up. The amount of hair is thinner which I like. The bangs are very long and will need trimming unless you want bangs hanging in your face. May or may not keep, on the fence. Ordered the medium blonde, large size. It looks like a head of great hair on a “good hair day.” The dark roots make the blonde wigs look so realistic. Toni, thank you for adding large sizes to your line. I like this wig because of the 4 1/2 inch bangs. All your other styles have shorter bangs. I have a high forehead and need the longer length bangs. I hope you will bring in more styles with longer bangs, 5 inches plus. Bangs can easily be trimmed or swept to one side, but you can’t add length to a too short bang. Please keep adding to your line. Your wigs are wonderful!Suer
Hi, I like the styling of the wig BUT there was a huge problem with the Dark Roots. I had ordered the light blond wig and it matched my hair color perfectly. but at the crown area there are darkish brown roots…This looked really weird. i had seen the presentation on tv and the roots did not appear to be dark brown or i would not have purchased the wig. if they had been medium blond it would not have been a problem i have purchased many of Toni's hair pieces and love them but this was too weird. It probably would work for someone who wouldn't have a problem with light blonde hair with darkish brown roots… maybe if you have the same style of light blonde wig with medium blonde roots i would definitely have purchased it.nannydew
I thought this was so cute, and my first Brattin wig so was hoping for a great wig. The first error may have been mine; Ive always had a kind of large head /hat size so for the first time I ordered the larger size- but even tightened up it is just too loose. Next prob, the wig is soooo shiny! If I were 20 years old maybe I could pass this off as real hair, but nobody has hair this shiny… it reflects light like crazy, drawing attention to it. I ordered the light blonde and even tho it had quite a bit of quite dark in it ( more than the online swatch shows) , I did like the pretty " frosted "color. But the real issue is that there is SO much "BIG HAIR" ! Unexpected! Looks like a furball on my head. Maybe the 70's look is still is style somewhere, but this looks like a Vegas show wig, with huge fly-back swoops that cant be tamed and a permanent flip at the neck in the back. I was able to tame/smooth out the vast number of wild 'wispy flips' all over the back of the head, but nothing can be done with the top and sides due to the style ( the way it's sewn.) Even when flattened down, the peak where the part is stays put, so there remains weird ; POINTED popped-up hair at the top of the head. I LOOK LIKE A CONEHEAD! I kept it for a couple days, with several tries to tame it so I could keep it, but no luck. Back to Hair U Wear brand 'WISPY" I have 3 of that style and they do look very real. Now I'm reluctant to try another Brattin style, if all the hair is this artificially shiny.brendastarshine

I suffer from overheating and l left it on for around 2 hours at home in AC but in Miami, and forgot I had it on. The stocking cap is not for me so I pinned my shoulder length bob and on the first try l looked as if I had stepped out of the salon. This Cuban 65 year old lady is beyond pleased. I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. Well, it had half of the amount of hair I have. It felt super fake, like nylon fibers; it didn’t move like natural hair. It obviously look like a wig. Absolutely awful. I’m pretty sure that some wigs I saw on the big online retailer for less than $20, look and feel better than this. Extremely overpriced. Then I remembered that some years ago I had ordered something similar and had returned it because of the same reason. I didn’t learn that time, now I did. Gorgeous, just as described. I watched all Toni's presentations and followed her directions. It's important to put the wig on correctly to get the best outcome. I'd like to try more colors. I have had this wig for approximately 6 months and have worn it 4 out of 7 days. I am now noticing the ends at the sides and nape of the neck are fraying, not sure what other word to use, but almost crinkly, like maybe it was heated and it wrinkled up. Very strange. I hate to see this happen because I really liked this wig and didn't expect something like this to happen, but to me, it is very noticeable and doesn't look like hair (maybe doll hair), maybe because it is synethic. This is the reason for only 3 stars. I could cut those ends off, but would make it too short. I'm not sure what I will do. I hate to buy a new wig every 6 months even tho I do have 2 other of Toni's wigs, this was my favorite. So disappointed. I stupidly did not read the reviews or I would never have bought this ridiculous wig. I have had no problems with Sheryl Shepherd wigs at half the price. This thing isn't cut right. Doesn't look like the wig the models are wearing. shows it being wore in various ways. The top & crown are a huge clump that you can't do anything with. I ordered it in the red/blonde as that is close to my natural color and I wear my hair short. I received it today but was disappointed and returned it. The top of the wig seemed much shorter than it looked on tv and I just wasn't able to style it the way Toni had styled hers. I was hoping the top would be longer. It's on it's way back. Was a total DUD. The one I received was not anything like the one TB was putting on in the video above. This is the last time I'm trying one of her wigs. I bought it because my hair is thinning because of medication I'm taking. But as bad as mine looks it's a whole lot better than this wig. I'd rather go to a regular wig shop and pay a lot more but have something that looks realistic. This looked like I had my hair done in a Mohawk style. It took a few tries before I found the right color but the medium blonde petite pouf is perfect. My only wish would be that the clip opened wider to accommodate my own hair. I first ordered the platinum blonde and light blonde, thinking that the light blonde would be a perfect match. I was shocked to see that the platinum looked almost silver and the light blonde had shades of silver and gray in them. The medium blonde is a truly warm light blonde color and not as dark as you think. I wore this for my daughters wedding as part of an updo and it looked like my shoulder length natural color. I love this wig. I ordered it in the light blonde and the med blonde and just adore it in both colors. The med blonde has the dark roots and I personal love that as it helps to make it look less like a wig. It looks just like the wig in the video. I fluff it up a bit on the crown as it is flat in that area but that takes no time or care at all. I love the platinum blonde color Toni has also for her wigs but I've been on the waitlist forever for this wig in that color. I have another one of Toni's wig in that color and it is just gorgeous. I have a feeling that color will never be available which is so sad. I ordered the normal size and for me, an average head size, it's perfect. One time I received a Toni wig (Ordered normal size) and the box said normal but inside the wig it said plus and it fit huge on me. I called to send it back and get replacement and the guy was so rude. He kept asking me how do I know it's not a normal and it's a plus size, if the box says normal, then it's normal. It fit huge on my head also and I have 8 Toni wigs, so I know how a normal fits me. Hopefully if you have to send something back you don't get him and if the wig feels not right, check inside to be sure it is what you ordered. I have enjoyed this new style and have had so many GREAT compliments. I have been told that it "lifts" my face and makes me look younger. This wig is long; like a very long flip; lots of hair. The photo is short and lots of curly hair fluffed backward. I don't know if Toni gets a prototype, and then OKs it; and then it is manufactured differently. The color is drab also; brown with gold should be brighter; I think it is the brown tone; a very drab perhaps some gray in the brown; perhaps better to purchase light brown or red brown. …..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. …..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. As long as this wig is available, I will continue to order as it as the best style for me, but I really wish Toni and her manufacturers would address this issue.2MuchTrouble
My Ist purchase was the brown/gray hairpiece duo and I was impressed by the quality and the exact match to my hair color. Easy to wear. I purchased this style because it is my exact haircut when I wear it short. Beautiful package, black and white box with instructions, wig in a net and the stocking cap. The brown/gray is not an option in this style so the brown/blonde was my next choice. Well, I finally tried it on today and all modesty aside, I look absolutely too die for Cute with a capital C adorable and my picky Virgo husband just freaked out in a very good way. The color is incredible, the hair looks exactly like my real hair at every angle. It is pretty easy to put on too. I suffer from overheating and l left it on for around 2 hours at home in AC but in Miami, and forgot I had it on. The stocking cap is not for me so I pinned my shoulder length bob and on the first try l looked as if I had stepped out of the salon. This Cuban 65 year old lady is beyond pleased. This Toni Braxton Prestigious Wig, and on sale, made in Japan, made my day. Kudos. I highly recommend this wig and this is my Ist wig ever. Toni should be canonized;). Marvelous.LaVerdad
I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. Well, it had half of the amount of hair I have. It felt super fake, like nylon fibers; it didn’t move like natural hair. It obviously look like a wig. Absolutely awful. I’m pretty sure that some wigs I saw on the big online retailer for less than $20, look and feel better than this. Extremely overpriced. Then I remembered that some years ago I had ordered something similar and had returned it because of the same reason. I didn’t learn that time, now I did. So many compliments on this wig EVERY TIME I wear it. The Red Blond coloring is GORGEOUS. It truly looks golden. I needed to use my styling iron a couple of minutes to have the long bangs lie the way I wanted, however the style stays and looks fantastic. Some comments– "You look 20 years younger!" Sorry Toni! Perhaps I got a bad one; it can happen of course. I like the cap size and color. But, that's all. When I took the wig out of the box, hairs (at least a dozen) went all over the place. I've never had that happen and I own a number of wigs. I know how to put them on and arrange them. This one had a long spiral piece hanging down the front that would do NOTHING but that! Awful..didn't really seem attached in any way it should have been sewn in. It's always more than annoying to have to go to the trouble of a return and pay a return fee for something so unacceptable.Island Kay

First , let me preface this by saying this by no means reflects on the the brand. I am sure it’s a very good brand but from my experience I cannot speak to that. What I can say is, I was sent a wig in a plastic bag with no tags or product box, labels or netting. To the credit of the customer service representative she understood immediately and sent out a NEW wig immediately, unfortunately to this date I am still paying for TWO wigs because of the subpar return processing and procedures. My Mother, sister, aunties and many cousins have been customers of QVC some since the early 90’s. The late deliveries and lengthy processing times have caused us to seek other options.miso48
This wig is super cute and styles just like picture. I am 72 and got medium blonde. Super easy to style. Does have hairs sticking up that need tamed down and what is happening with NOT getting a Toni Brattin box for storage? I have gotten three now without a box – just a plastic sealed bag.Crafter Gal
