I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I’m so happy I didn’t let the bad reviews discourage me. She’s a cute, sassy wig!jnut
I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. This is a great beginners lace front wig! I am not a wig wearer but saw this on an IG page and tried for moths to order and finally caught it in stock! It is easy to install and looks very similar to my natural hair blown out and flat ironed just fuller which is why I like it! The wig cap is large so it will fit larger heads, which is bit of a con for me. I wig horizontally is too large or too long for my head so the lace on each side covers my ears. (I don't believe I have a small head). If I tuck it behind it is rather uncomfortable even after adjusting the clips and band adjuster inside the cap. I tried curling the hair at 400 degrees and it straightened it instead, could be user error though. Overall, the wig looks and feels great for the price. I'm not sure if the wig could be washed but for the price it may not be worth washing when you can just buy a new one! It is not an everyday wig if you are a newbie at wearing wigs. It can become quite uncomfortable after a few hours. I just received this wig and tried it on and I thought it was great. It is a very thick wig and looks exactly like the picture. But, let's face it people. This is a costume wig, not a $1000 wig. You wear it maybe one night with your costume and that's it. I'm wearing it with my flapper outfit and it will look amazing. I will not have to cut it either, no friz and looks great on my head. I did wear a cap underneath to keep my hair in place and then put the wig over it. The question now will be, how long will it last the night of the party. I will update you later as I'm wearing it for a cruise party.DJH
This wig was thicker than most wigs I've bought and that was a definite plus! It doesn't quite look like a flapper wig as it is thicker in the back and doesn't hang like the one in the product photo. It is well made and has great coverage–I have super long hair and was able to hide it under this wig with no trouble. I would recommend this as a standard black wig for any costume but not as a flapper wig.LisaTChiTown

I purchased 2 wigs. The Tango & the Ellie (which I returned because I didnt like it). The Tango was everything I expected. I also purchased a pair of John Fashion sling back shoes which I absolutely loved. I returned The Ellie wig & requested a refund. Aft several days, I traced the US mail pkg & it had been received but I had not received my refund as requested. So I called a cpl times using my sister's fone becaz I had poor reception on my Gov fone & later not enuff minutes 2 call Especially Yours & ck on my refund. I was denied my refund of $39.99 for the wig I returned becaz I was using someone else's fone. Although I used my OWN email address & Credit card 2 pay for my order. I had 2 call my bank & have the charges reversed becaz they UNJUSTLY denied my refund. I don't owe them & have never ordered from them before & was treated unfairly. They had a dispute with someone else & tried to make me pay. Very unfair and unjust.Johnnie
This was the most awful low quality wig I every purchased. This use to be a great company back in the days and I was hoping it was still good. I cant believe you as a company purchased this wig, looked it over and still decided to sell it to your customers. It was poor quality and looked nothing like this pick except for the frizziness, look closer and it's there. I returned the same day I received it for a refund and I was told then it was a on sale and couldn't get a refund so not only poor quality, poor customer service. What I received wasn’t what was pictured in the catalog or online. So I googled it, the color was at the wig.shop. The only recent I didn’t return it was because it was a gift from my husband and it would have hurt him. He didn’t know about color selection. What he selected was what he thought was in the picture. You should advertised the colors available. I have bought many wigs over the years from ESP. Yours and this is the first time I was greatly disappointed. I received color 2 which I hate.Donnie R.

I received this wig – # A1228, Meg Whisperlite Petit in SF 51/60. I returned it because it appeared to have been a return. It was thinned out or trimmed in some way that completely changed the style. I ordered and paid for a new wig. I own 7 of these wigs in this style, color and size, so I know what they should look like. I was very disappointed. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, but this time instead of trying to make the best of it and use something I was not happy with, I returned it for an exchange. I don’t think I should have to pay any restock charge or any other charge for this return. It was your fault in sending me a defective wig, not mine. I wear them as styled straight out of the box as they are. I am telling you, this one did not look like, nor was it the quality I have had in the past with this wig. I am not happy.Jo
This order is yet another attempt to find something that is wearable from PY. I bought 2 of these Meg wigs in different colors, and sent back the Lt Blonde, it looked like a light bulb on my head. The other one in Platinum blonde looks like a barbie dolls hair. I powdered it but it still glows. I paid my hair dresser to cut it down, and I trimmed it again. Pro: This order looked new, unworn. (My first looked very worn, I returned it.) Cons: Netting in front shows unless you plaster hair down just right. Sides & back are way too thick. Mine's been trimmed 2 times and it's still too much. The picture shows the hair off the neck, but after wearing the wig for 6 hours, my neck & upper back where the hair rubbed it was red and sore from the scratchy synthetic hair. I used the wrap band to keep it in place, and knew the wig made me extremely hot but when I took the wig off, my whole head was a sweaty mess. I haven't worn it since. I hate it. I ordered 2 Wiglets 7 days ago, in Humane Hair to see if that can work. They were suppose to "arrive no later than 4pm today," but no show. (I've come to NOT rely on this company's word though. So it didn't surprise me. Who knows when they'll show up.) Hope this review will help others. Keep your expectations very low with PY.LISA
You’ve changed the Meg wig, and not for the better. I bought this wig in 2015 and I loved it. Last year my sister bought the same wig. She came to my house with it, not happy. Saying differs than one I bought. I didn’t think she was right then. I do now, after recently buying again. It’s shorter. And let me say, I got a recent catalog, saw many I liked. The problem, only a select few in petite sizes. So I not Meg again, and disappointed in the change.Linda

I have bought a lot of wigs over the years. i just find it easier to keep my hair super short and wear wigs for different looks…plus i dont have to spend the hour i used to spend taming my wild hair anymore. Ive spent up to $400 for a wig and my previous favorite was zara by jon renau. I get so many compliments on that wig, but everyone raves about how awesome my hair looks now that i am wearing this wig. Its over 3 times less expensive than the zara and has held up so much better regarding not tangling, shedding or losing its shine. and its a natural not artificial shine like other wigs similar cost seem to have. Love the style and is so realistic and natural looking. Not shiny and fake. I've paid 3X more for a wig and wasn't as happy with then I am with the Urban Gypsy. My only complaint is that it is a a lot of hair and tends to get frizzy and all over the place, I used JON RENAU WIG LUSTERIZER and Biosilk and it works great calming it down and enhancing the waves so not frizzy looking. I love the wavy texture so haven't used any heat products on it to straighten it or curl it yet to test the heat friendliness. I am an everyday wearer and have worn for over a month and still just the same as the day I put on.
I bought this wig and didn't know what to expect. It looks really great. Real and it has a nice length. I personally like bangs I never had a lace front before . My real bangs matched the hair on the wig so I wear my bangs out of the wig. It looks natural because of the lace front. It is not a thin wig it has plenty of hair I just love it I am close to 60 years young and I thought this wig might not look good because of my age. I have had compliments about how I look much younger with this great wig

The wig looks awful! The color does not look blond, is very dull and wiggy looking. It is actually one of the worse wigs I have ever had the displeasure of purchasing. I cannot return it nor get a refund. It will just go in the circular file (trash). I definitely would not recommend it.JACQUELYN
