I ordered this in the Salt Pepper Mix. I really like the color. I some what like the style. It is too long and looks like you really need a trim at the nap of your neck. The quality problem is the same problem I have seen with three Ellen Wille wigs I ordered. There are little short hairs sticking up all over the back of the crown area or in the case of Cara 100 Deluxe wig the short straight hairs were sticking out all over the top. Another complaint, is that the picture here on the website is very inaccurate. In the red haired picture, that wig has been cut in the back. Wigs should not be altered in pictures for advertising a wig. I like that Ellen Wille wigs do not have excessive permatease and the cap being an petite/average fits me better than average sizes. But these quality issues are costing me a lot of money when you have to return the wig. Unfortunately, I don't have a wig store near me where I could try on wigs.
I ordered this wig in two colors, hoping that it was a bit more wavy to curly style with natural density on top. I was kinda hoping for the love child between Ellen Wille Arrow and Girl Mono. I was going on stock pictures and youtube reviews, but in reality it has a very choppy, strongly layered cut, and no real waves or curls. I had to brush these wigs with a regular "forbidden" kind of hairbrush instead of a wide tooth comb, to make the hair come together, instead of each lock of hair being super pieced out, doing their own thing. It also has a bit of permatease on one side of the part, and that kind of increased in volume during the day that I've worn her. For my head and face shape (large), permatease isn't a good idea. So… for me personally it's not a winner. However, if you need that extra bit of volume on top, you will LOVE this! If you like choppy layers and playfulness, but not really want to go for full curls or beach waves, this is a yes! Quality of hair is amazing and the cap is super comfortable. Lace front on Ellen Wille is one of the best in the industry in my opinion.Lea S.
Wish I had bought this piece first. Wore it right out of box. Professionally cut, realistic density and very fine denier. Hairline is undetectable. With hand tying too, It’s the most natural piece I have. Mine is champagne mix, it is close in shade to RW shaded biscuit, Henry Margu 10/613GR, and maybe JR’s Palm Springs Blond? Ellen Wille’s shade is a nice blend for most any med to ash blonde or for someone whose blonde is beginning to gray. No gold really. Not shiny. Very nice length. I still have a lot of hair length and that is the only challenge with me wearing this one since it is designed to fit with very little to no hair. I am making it work tucking my hair flat under wig cap. My bio hair has thinned to point that I need more hair to look normal again. I’m a petite/med? I disagree with the last review…I love this wig. It's the first synthetic wig that I have purchased. I now own two. I look fab it and it wears and lays well. You must know, and if you don't, you must learn to style any wig weather synthetic or human hair. Keep trying to work that wig more before you give up and give a bad review, because what doesn't work for some may work for a few. I say that because of the cut (realistic) and affordability of the wig. My only con would be that I wish that there were more auburns and blonds in the same look, style and cut. Love this wig.

This is a lovely wig. I love that it's thinner and hand tied. I'm not a fan of the ear to ear lace. It tends to stick up around the ear tabs and you can see it. I've tried glue but it just cakes up on the lace and doesn't work anyway. I wish I had gotten the regular julianne with velvet ear tabs. I am so glad I tried the light version in the julianne before paying a ridiculous amount of money for the carrie light and realizing the lace ear tabs are terrible. If you have hair thinning or loss anywhere in the front, this will not work for you as you'll be pulling on those vulnerable hairs if you have any, yet it won't be enough to hold the piece in place safely, nor can you use adhesive on thinning hairs. Obviously the 3 front clips won't be of use if you have no hair in front; aybe you could remove all the clips and use adhesive instead if you have no hair. For me, with thinning hair, this was unworkable. I was excited about this item, but was left disappointed. Trying to be fair to the store, I kept the items (I bought two) rather than ask for another return. I shouldn't have kept them.Gerri
I have bought several regular January's in the past, and have always thought they had too much permatease, but would repurchase it because it is closest to the style and color I am looking for. This was my first January Hand Tied. I am pleased to say that it is exactly what I was hoping for. The best part is that there is NO permatease, which had always made it too hot to wear in the summer, and now I don't have to worry about wefts showing since there are none. The lace front on mine is fantastic in the color 14/25 – the highlighting and knotting is the best it's ever been. It is much less tiger-striped looking than it had been about 5 years ago. The hand tied January also has less density than regular January, so I only thinned it slightly in spots compared to my major thinning of regular January. Both versions of January tend to be less shiny than the straight versions of synthetics, which is a plus for me. The Jon Renau regular synthetic fibers last longer than the other brands I have tried as well.Brahm

This is one of the most natural looking wigs I’ve worn. I wear lots of Ellen Wille wigs and the quality is usually superb. However, as much as I like this wig (and wear often) the wig has been a problem from the beginning. Initially some of the wefts detached and I had to sew them back onto the cap. Now the lace front will not lie straight against the forehead. I’m giving 4 stars to deduct for the cap quality.

I didn't expect such quality for such a low priced wig. The hair is thick and bouncy. Love the rooted look! I trimmed some bangs into it and had some height styled into it at the roots (my hairdresser used a steamer to give it volume at the top) This is a very fun piece! Lots of compliments! I use Hair U Wear leave in conditioner on the ends and at the nape to lower tangling and frizzing. Fun to play with…..can put it in a pony tail, pin some up , some down. Love it. Will be getting more Pros Lots of hair. The style is nice…..love the loose curls. Love the ombre (rooted) look. I lost much of my hair before and after being diagnosed with systemic lupus and Sjorgrens (showgrins). I was at my wits end as to what to do as my hair looked so bad I wanted to crawl in to a corner and never come out. A friend from work said she buys her wigs from Forever Young so I decided it was worth a shot after looking at hundreds of wigs. I fell in love with the Honey Caramel Hollywood Honey wig. I own three, one of which I cut just passed shoulder length so I could wear it to work. I also cut full bangs in to all of them as I have always worn them. This wig is awesome! No one even knew I was wearing a wig and I received an incredible amount of compliments on my hair. I still have one in the box but am ordering another as I like to have extra on hand. So glad I found this gem of a wig. It gave me back my confidence, and took a few years off my looks!
So far this is one of my favorite wigs! Great movement, very soft and super pretty waves. The color looks great (dirty blonde). The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the bangs fall in my face and the cap is a tad big. I'll probably cut them to be straight across and hopefully that'll work.
