My Mom has always worn short hair. Since Covid she has not gone to the beauty salon to get her hair cut so the length is below her shoulders. She hated it when it was growing out and wanted to get it cut up until a few weeks ago when I ordered this product. I put her hair in an updo with the Fun Bun and she LOVES it! She's cooler in the summer heat, looks stylish and the color is a PERFECT match! This little item has been a game changer for an elderly woman who now loves her longer hair when it's in a Fun Bun!
I've never seen a scrunchie hairpiece that was constructed as this one is, but it definitely has its uses. Rather than being wrapped around an elastic hairtie, the wefting is stitched onto a thin piece of elastic cord at approx. 1/2" intervals in a sort of snaking design. I don't know how one would wear this as is – I don't see how it could be pinned on without the odd construction showing, but I suppose it's possible. However, I found this design extremely useful for my own purpose – I couldn't find a scrunchie that matched my grey and light brown hair, so I purchased one of these in each color and simply snipped a few threads, and then I could twist the two strands together and wrap them around my own elastic hair tie, and voila! I also snipped off a few inches from the ends of each color to add highlights and lowlights to some of my other hairpieces. SO, as I said, odd construction, but they have their uses.Wendy B.
First I ordered Mimic Hair Wrap in lightest blond shade and when it arrived it was more golden blond than the almost white and beige pictured on line. I returned it. It cost me a total $21.84 with $.95 a donation to breast cancer. I received a whole $4.88 REFUND. Can't figure the math on that one. In meantime I ordered the Fun Bun in Winter White( I have almost all white hair). It looks like a very light grey. So unless I color my hair this one is useless but I won't send it back for the little bit I get back. Very unhappy with whole setup.Georgia L.
