My daughter has really thick hair and long, no hairpins ever survived after one use…even bobby-pins always go bad. However this product, these hairpins are awesome! These hold her super thick hair in place where we want to keep bun, and still stay in great shape after use…so far, I used least 20 times and none of these went bad. These pins are live up to the description but not exactly to the hype. They are very solid, I don't feel like anything could bend them out of place. Because they are open (unlike normal bobby pins), they hold the bun together laterally and vertically. In a pinch, I can use only one pony tail holder and 2 of these pins and my bun would stay in all day! They also have very nice coloring. My hair is darker golden blond so usually my choices are either white platinum or very deep brown but the 'blond' shade in these pins is really perfect! However, these pins are sort of difficult to put in and take a bit of practice to do well. Also, I wouldn't suggest these to anyone with with thinner or short hair because they will stick out. In general these are convenient but I don't find them necessary to life, and normal hairpins are cheaper.Lovediscountdance
