This game is like the game Telephone, that we played as children. Except, now your adding your own hand drawn pictures to the mix! Can’t draw? Not an artist? That’s ok, neither are we!!! We had so much fun playing this game! We laughed so hard at how some people perceived the drawings! We had a blast and played it numerous times. It was great fun at our last family/friend get together, 4-8 players can play, we played with a wide age range of players. Ranging from the age of 12 years old to 67 years old! The game includes everything you need to play! Love that this game uses white board and dry erase markers (which are all included in the box). This game would be a blast to have during the upcoming holidays to play with you family and friends! Also would make a great gift for all you game loving friends and family!Rcansawgal

Telestrations was such a fun game, the problem in our family with kids so close in age is the amount of fighting that usually goes along with board games. Not this one, there was so much laughter, tears from laughing so hard. This game was a blast and some of the drawings and guesses were so off that we just about rolled on the floor. Telestrations is like telephone and Pictionary combined. Everyone draws a card and then a dice is rolled to determine what number you use. After that that person will draw on the first page of their book their best drawing of that word, next person looks at only the picture and then guesses with words what the picture is then from those words the next person draws another picture until you get your booklet back. If you ever played the telephone game as a kid, you're going to want to play this game! Depending on the number of players, you either draw the secret word you wrote down or you pass your sketchbook to the person on your right to draw. Once the drawing is done, you pass it to the person on your right. They look at the drawing and right down their guess. Then they pass the book to the right again. That person looks at the guess and sketches that out. You repeat this until you get your sketchbook back. When you get your book back, you'll flip through it and show the other players the guesses and pictures. Odds are that your secret word won't be what's written as the final guess! We love love this game for our 5 year old and just got it for one of her friends (it's a hit all around). It's like Clue but for kids and encourages detailed observation of which fox might be guilty of stealing the pie. This is seriously the most fun kids game I've played with our kids in a long time. It's an incredibly clever game that teaches mad deduction and memory skills. We've played it many times with our kids, and it has yet to get old. The replay value is very high as each game is different. It's almost like a kids version of Clue. Outfoxed is a cooperative game where each player is a detective working together to catch the sneaky fox who stole a pie. There are 16 suspects placed around the board face down. Each turn, a player may choose to search for a clue (if she lands on a paw print) or reveal suspects. If revealing suspects, she turns over two of the 16 suspects which then exposes certain characteristics of that suspect. Searching for a clue is the fan favorite. You get to place a clue marker into the super cool decoder. It then tells you whether the thief is wearing that particular item like a monocle, an umbrella, a scarf, a bag, and more. If you have enough information to rule out any of the visible suspects, you get rid of them and are that much closer to figuring out who the real culprit is! The element of luck comes into play when you need to match all three dice to the declared action you plan to take. If you don't roll well, the fox gets closer to his escape hatch. If he escapes, everyone loses! This game is great at teaching kids memory and deduction. When we were first teaching our kids, whenever they would expose a new clue, we would say, "Is the thief wearing gloves?" (based on the decoder results), then, "Is Mary wearing gloves?" (based on an exposed suspect), followed up with, "Then can Mary be the thief?" They would answer each question with a yes or no which led them down a basic, three-step deduction sequence. Pretty quickly, we could just say, "Okay, what do you need to do?" And they would either leave the suspect or get rid of the suspect depending on the clue. There's a fun game we like to play at parties where each person draws the name of a different person in the room. You then have to remember each "new" name to strategically get three people on your team into the designated winner spots. It is really hard playing consecutive games because you have to wipe your short-term memory clean and start over each game because everyone's fake names are different. I found that to be the case on a much smaller scale with Outfoxed. For the first portion of a second or third game, our kids would often give clue answers from the previous game because that's what they had downloaded into their memory bank. However, while this presented a small challenge, challenges are how kids learn and develop, especially when it comes to memory. Overall, I give Outfoxed a very high 8.5 as a family game that is fun, that teaches skills, that is interactive and cooperative, and that has a very high replay value. As a very random side note, I like how Gamewright has you choose who goes first. Outfoxed says the person who last ate pie goes first. I've seen others that say the person who last played tag or whoever most recently used dental floss. Adults may see this as silly, but kids love it!Braden

My 4.5 year old grandson loves board games and working together against a fox is much healthier than a traditional win or lose game with peers. This game has lots of learning strategies and thinking skills. He has learning to organize the pieces so nothing gets lost. Best part is he loves to play Outfoxed.Janet

It has such a huge potential of being an amazing game but the directions are written in such a way that they are very confusing. We spend most of the time googling for clarification. The haunts seem like a great thing until they don’t make sense we played twice in a row and both haunts, we didn’t understand. After googling we found that others have said they just didn’t do those. I feel like this game was not properly tested with normal people who were playing it for the very first time. I want this game to work so well but it’s very confusing. We play a lot of new age board games and still struggle greatly with this one. Too many times were are having to ignore rules to get the game to “work”. Buyers beware of the struggle.Darrah Reaid

This is a game that I extremely enjoy. It’s an extremely interesting different way of playing. The placing of tiles isn’t a new concept, but the twist of someone having to become the villain definitely is for me. There’s so many scenarios to get, that you end up playing a different ending every time. It’s a bit confusing at first, in all honesty, but after watching a video or two it becomes much easier. That’s what you get with this upgrade kit. The Character cards have much better art on them than the originals. Also, the game exchanged the black clips you use to track health and sanity for wheels that spin and keep score which is a great improvement…no clips accidentally falling off during game play or crimping too tightly and abrading the player cards. Just remember which way to spin the wheels to raise/lower your scores, and be careful when you do it because they sometimes stick. The other part of the upgrade kit is the dice. The kits exchange the 8 original white and black dice for more thematic green and yellow ones. In my personal opinion, despite not really needing 8 more dice, I do consider them a nice upgrade. If anything, it means less passing dice around the table for players to make their roles. All in all, while not necessary to own, the upgrade kit offered enough for me to justify buying it. 7/10Alex A

The box is really nicely designed and is no bigger than it needed to be for 2 small stacks of cards and some tokens. The artwork on the cards is bright and colourful but also slightly jarring, perfect for the theme. The rule book is small and consise, and I like the way the FAQs are broken down in to sections but I found it difficult to turn structure from the rule book which is why I have given only 4 stars. The game is quick, and doesn't take up too much space, you couldn't pull it out waiting for a meal at a restaurant but possibly if you were at a coffee shop with a good sized table it could be appropriate. It has some mean cards but no more than fits the theme, you are trying to destroy your opponent's camps, so as long as you're not playing a bad loser it's a great 2 player game.Sarah S

What's unique about this game is that your opponent and I draw cards from a single deck. This dramatically reduces game setup time. Just open the box and place a few cards to get started. Good Replayability – At the start of the game, 6 camps are drawn and 3 of them are placed. As the starting conditions change, the replayability naturally increases. My wife and I really enjoy this game. The scoring system is clever; you either want to win very few tricks or a lot, but not too many. The number of tricks to a round mean you can't both go for the same strategy or both be successful. That all odd numbered cards have special abilities adds further depth to the strategy. The artwork is fantastic – it is what first drew me to the game. The theme is lacking, but I've never been one to require deep theme to enjoy a game.Jono

A nice version of trick taking games, with the odd numbered cards introducing opportunity for considerable to & fro in the relative strengths of the players as each turn progresses. The various ways to change the flow of play makes it much more unpredictable than ordinary Whist. The turn-scoring, where being 'greedy' can lose points rather than gain them, slides it just a fraction towards something like Spades (in which you can score strongly by getting zero tricks), and introduces a strategy whereby players may deliberately try to not win tricks. That's quite the reverse of what's normally the case, and introduces opportunity for 'clever' play. Sadly, not too bowled over by the fairy-story distractions of the game's name (six syllables) or the 'story' within the guide. Game-play has not truly got any relevance to the 'story', & I spent the first few minutes wondering if I'd overlooked something important.Peter

The # upsidedown challenge is challenging, fun for a while. I have teenagers and elementary age kids. We didn't like having to adjust the headband a lot for the goggles to fit. Would have been good to have 2 pair or to have one pair with headband and one pair as glasses. When looking thru the goggles there is a blue line from the frame in the middle of your sight, so it is aggravating, like looking thru a split screen, not sure if that was what they were going for. The challenges on the cards are good, we got a good laugh at trying them. Some families may love this game. My family does not. This game could be really good with a few adjustments.T

The glasses are fantastic and it’s a lot of fun. Ideally it would be better if there were more glasses, but obviously that would push the price up. The activities are fun, but there aren’t many cards and on quite a few you have to think of your own challenge. It’s great to play a couple of times. I think that it is worth the price though.Kath

The goggles are a a hit. Seeing everything upside down really makes doing the simplest thing really hard. They are not the most comfortable to wear but my kids didn't complain because they are having fun just putting them on and turning the world upside down. The game play itself is simple, you get a flimsy pad of paper and a deck of cards with instructions on what to perform (ex. write your name), and there are only a few variations on the instructions. We ended up not using the cards and made up our own game. So get the game for the goggles, not for actual game play.Winnie B.

This game is fantastic for the whole family! It comes with both adult and children’s cards to get everyone involved- even our older toddlers get into it. The Pictionary cards are actually quite sturdy (though we always laminate for longevity) and the board itself is very thick and durable. And we really love that the erasable boards mean less paper usage! Overall a quality product and great value for money. Our experience with this product has been excellent! I see that all the good reviews are from people who got the game as a promotion for the product. The original version is better by far. The whiteboards are terrible, no eraser and everyone got ink all over their hands. Was hard to remove. We ended up getting pencils and paper. Some of the cards are absurd. Make no sense. The board is a third the size it used to be. Almost no point having a board at all. The dice we got had crooked edges so kept landing on the same number. Everything seemed cheap and flimsy. If it wasn't for good company it would not have been fun. DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION! Stick to the original game.Pia

I bought this because me and my family love game night. I have made it a tradition with my family to do it once every week an we were looking for something new but fun. An this game is absolutely perfect, we havent laughed this hard in a long time. This was the perfect game for us. The game is simple – no board, no game pieces, no arguing. In the box is: a deck of phrase cards, 5 mouth pieces (they are all the same size, suited to large, adult mouths), and an egg timer. Play time won't be that long (half hour max, probably), because it's not exactly comfortable, but I have not laughed that hard since childhood! We bought it to play at our thanksgiving family dinner, and there were tears, drool, and nearly some wet pants! SO funny. Definitely worth the money. The game loses a star, however, because it is a bit too simple (the fun does wear out somewhat quickly), the mouth pieces caused most of us notable oral pain, and because one of the mouth pieces broke in half during the first game. Love this game. It is super goofy and lots of fun. Just seeing each other with the mouth pieces is more then enough to get you going. A few more mouth pieces would be nice though as 5 is not enough if you are playing with a large group. Oh and of course you need to clean them well afterwards if you are planning to share. We played for a few hours the first time and it got a bit fatiguing on the mouth and left gums a bit sore. This was to be expected so all in all we were ok with it. If you are looking for a fun holiday or when ever game for the whole family this is it. I would say its just as fun as games like Pie face so you should have a great time with it. This is a fun game for many ages! We played with adults, first graders, and second graders and had fun. The kids are still learning how to use deductive reasoning, so it was a little tough for them, but it was a great teaching tool! I think a buzzer works better than the sand timer because everyone gets so caught up in the game. We will probably use our phones over the sand times, but the game overall is awesome. The headbands are adjustable and surprisingly not too annoying. It’s easy to attach the photo cards and award counters. This game could be a great classroom/teaching resource for nearly any subject.KKul

I played this game for the first time with friends, their children and my children ages 7 and 12. As challenging as it was to guess what was on your card, it was so much fun trying to ask questions and imagine what your card is. The adults and kids alike had a blast. We downloaded the app for the game and took photos of the players. It was funny. The kids loved having the cars with the questions to help give them a baseline of the questions they should be asking, but they came up with their own questions as well. I knew my children would love this. The themed head bands especially. From my youngest 5 up to my eldest 13 they were all laughing their heads off throughout playing this game together. It's great as it encourages reading especially great for my 5 year old as he was actually motivated to try and read. I think it's great how it gets them to think out side of the box. I initially skipped this when it originally came out, thinking that it would be a poor quality game as many other remakes had been. I skipped it for years, till I recently bought it to have all three of the Punch Out games. Popped it into the Wii U and was very surprised just how good it really was! This action packed knock-em sock-em is the home version of the original arcade Nintendo Punch-Out console with some of the most memorable characters making a comeback & some new opponents as well.
