This conditioner is 10/10. I have tried “The One� conditioner and have also loved that one as well, but this one has different benefits. For one, it’s super light and not as thick as some conditioners, the slip is great. My hair used to look so dull if I didn’t wash it and now it looks shinier and feels super soft. My hair doesn’t feel heavy. The no fragrance makes a huge difference because I don’t have those extra unnecessary chemicals drying out my hair. One con for this is the bottle size. I should’ve bought a bigger bottle because of my thick hair I have to use a lot of product. The small bottle featured in the photo was between $10 and $13 and lasted me about 2 weeks. Overall I would definitely buy this again, just a bigger size.kell.p

I am not high maintenance at all when it comes to hair care. I prioritize my preference to skincare etc. After running out of shampoo I decided to try this one since I love the Kristin Ess texturizing spray. Biggest mistake! This formula literally caused my head and scalp to become insanely itchy and when you scratch, since the formula is so drying, your scalp gets flaky. It’s not dandruff, but looks like it because of all the flakes. I’m so disappointed with this product. I’m literally running to target tomorrow to find something else because I can’t possibly bear another wash. It’s that drying. Not to mention my hair looks way drier than usual and dull. I used this shampoo only once, and I could feel it making my hair a strange brittle texture as I washed it. I can generally wash my hair and not use conditioner, except for the first week after I get highlights. I could not even run my hands through my hair after washing. Needed to use a conditioner, and then still had trouble getting a brush through it. The bottom 2 inches of my hair remain unmaneageable since I used this product. Now I am forced to use conditioner just to brush through my hair after washing, even though I am using my previous shampoo. Very unhappy that it basically wrecked my hair. My husband, who has virgin hair, has no problem with the shampoo, but does use conditioner. The only reason I even tried this was because there is no scent. That is the only plus. You know how using a shampoo for several days in a row accumulates some residue that makes hair gloppy and over-thickened? After many years of fiddling around with various combinations I've been using "Therappe" for a first wash, then after rinsing out follow with the good old clear-as-water residue-removing Neutrogena (a pea sized amount is enough for me, but my hair is not long) to reduce the amount of "Therappe" is left on my hair, and the result is the best of all the combinations I've used. One gets body from the "Therappe" and some loft and zero accumulation of shampoo gunk in my hair, thanks to the Neutrogena. BJs makes the giant "Therappe" relatively inexpensive. No one discounts Neutrogena as far as I know, but use the smallest amount for second wash (depends on your hair, of course – I use pea-sized dollop) and the combination is a more affordable way to look good.Dave w Clean Hair

This product is the only thing that has made my hair grow after a bad bleach job. I have been consistent with it for 2 months and literally already have growed atleast 3 inches of hair! It's bomb other shampoos leave your hair feeling so stiff and dry and this shampoo is so moisturizing you can literally comb out your hair in the shower after just the shampoo by itself not even the conditioner yet it's soooo good ! In all my years of buying beauty products from Ulta never have I ever felt compelled to make an account to leave any good or bad review in my life…until now. I have dry, thinning, damaged, colored, Asian hair. I've been on my healthy hair journey for a year now and decided to change my hair routine because my dry hair began to become very oily at the end of the day. I think my scalp and hair was begging for moisture. My original hair routine is Olaplex shampoo and conditioner and lots of Briogio hair products. I was going back and forth between this Nexxus product or the Pureology. I saw Pureology had some reviews where customers had hair loss, which is what made me pick this Nexxus. After one use, this shampoo and it's conditioner changed the feel and look of my hair immediately. The smell is so chemically strong, even after I rewashed my hair I could still smell the Nexxus. Upon lathering it into my hair and scalp it did nothing special or make my hair feel moisturizing. When I got out of the shower it looked very shiny. Then I waited for my hair to dry to see the results, immediately can feel my hair texture has plundered. My hair dried with a matte dry look. The shine completely disappeared. My hair was heavy, but felt like tangly wet Raman noodles texture. At this point I'm spraying in my Briogio fizz leave in conditioner spray to untangle and smooth out my hair… even my beloved Briogio spray couldn't help. Because my hairs color is fading, the shampoo brought out all the brassy orange in my hair I never even knew I had… After rewashing my hair with my trusty Olaplex, my texture still felt fried as if it went through a chemical fryer.. I'm afraid it may take some time before my hair goes back to normal. If you're looking for a new shampoo and conditioner please do not go through what I went through and avoid this product at all costs. I enjoy changing up my look from time to time but in doing so I have found that many wigs quickly can get unruly. When starting out I had no idea how to maintain my wigs so I had to really learn through suggestions and trial and error. This product was suggested to me and I picked it up to help give life to my wigs and keep them looking a little more kept. While this spray was helpful especially on curly wigs I noticed that it made my straighter wigs look more oily than conditioned. This product is a great answer to prevent frizz and tangling of your extensions and natural hair. I tried oils and 100 other things to stop the snarls in my extensions, this is the only product that has worked. Not only does it keep your extensions soft and conditioned, but it also does the same thing for your natural hair. It also protects your hair against flat irons, blow dryers & curling irons. I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

The manuka honey and yogurt conditioner really helped to detangle and condition my hair. It is formulated with key ingredients of fair-trade shea butter, mafura oil, baobab oil, honey, and yogurt extract. It has a slightly less thick texture than the hair treatment from the same line. This makes it easier to spread evenly onto hair strands. This conditioner doesn't leave my hair feeling oily or weighted down. It doesn't leave a film like feel on the hair. I noticed my hair felt overall healthier and more conditioned than before use. I found that it was much easier to detangle and rinse out than other conditioners that I have tried. My hair felt smooth and silky whenever I used it. I really liked that the packaging includes a pump. I find that it's much easier and convenient to get the product out. I've previously used other products from SheaMoisture's haircare line, so was familiar with their products and the fact that they feature a lot of more "natural" ingredients than other mainstream drugstore brands. With the harsh, drying winter weather that we've already started to have, I'm always looking for ways to keep my hair moisturized and looking healthy. This line of the manuka honey and yogurt products is fantastic for hair that tends to be drier, frizzier, and brittle in the cold. To start, it contains shea butter, glycerin, honey, and a number of other plant oils and extracts, within its ingredient list (which is much shorter than other brands!). The texture is nice and thick, and it feels moisturizing immediately after rinsing it off. The scent is probably best described as shea butter and honey, and is really non-offensive and not at all overpowering. I found that even though the cold weather so far has actually been quite humid, my hair hasn't been frizzing out as much since using this. It's been very good at retaining its sleekness, post-styling, while out and about on my commute to work. Previously, I was using a different brand and by the time I reached my office, all semblance of hairstyling was gone and my hair was a giant pouf. I also love that the brand's conditioners come in a pump bottle – it's so much easier to handle while in the shower. If you read any reviews please please read this one!! I was given this shampoo and the matching conditioner as a gift and I was very excited because I believed this was supposed to be a great conditioner. At first I believed it worked great! My hair sometimes gets oily and I no longer had oily hair at the end of the day but then I began to lose more hair than usual. Then I began losing HANDFULS of hair at a time. I was losing so much hair I truly believed I would go bald. I finally realized my hair loss was probably due to this shampoo and conditioner not just stress so I stopped using it. I am still experiencing hair loss but slowly my hair is getting back to normal. If you have thin hair I would NOT recommend you use this incase you do experience hair loss because my hair is extremely thick and I lost at least half a head of hair I can't imagine the damage this product could do if you had less hair to start off with! I have NEVER had issues with shampoo/conditioner up until buying this. I have tried many different cheap shampoo/conditioners, and decided to splurge a little on this product after seeing some hairstylists on social media recommend this brand. Unfortunately I have similar experiences as other low reviews on this product. I have noticed that I am shedding a LOT more hair than normal in the shower. I have also noticed after 1-2 weeks of use that my hair has started to feel greasy and heavy. It almost feels like the product did not get washed out of my hair. At first I thought maybe this was my fault that I didn’t rinse it out well. But last night I made sure to do a thorough job rinsing out my hair, and woke up with my hair the greasiest it’s ever looked after a wash. I’ve never had a product do this to my hair. The only plus is that I love the scent of these products. I hope I will be able to return this.sarah

I wanted to love this brand and especially this product, but I can't. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks in to using the shampoo and conditioner. My scalp first started getting dry and itchy, which has never been a problem for me. About 3 weeks in, excessive amounts of hair started coming out when I washed or brushed my hair. My hair wasn't falling out in clumps, but it was more than normal, causing me to be concerned about the cause. About 1 month in, there was a lot of dandruff, irritation on my scalp, and parts of my scalp were getting crusty, almost like a had massive dandruff buildup. I want to preface this that I have never had any of these problems with other brands, including other inexpensive brands, high end brands, and custom shampoo. I used other Kristin Ess product including the scalp scrub, detangler, and the scalp every day conditioner. I stoped using these products and stuck with just the shampoo and conditioner to see if my symptoms improved. My symptoms continued to worsen and I realized that it was the shampoo and conditioner causing all of my problems. I even showed my hairdresser and she thought that the brand was good because it claims to be vegan and and lacks bad ingredients. There is something in these products that caused all of my symptoms and is not good at least for my hair type. I would strongly encourage using another brand to avoid dealing with the symptoms I experienced. I am not saying you will have the same problems, but for me, it was awful. I wear a lot of synthetic wigs, and after a certain amount of time they look like road kill. It’s sadly just the nature of the beast. I’ve tried the tradition blue wig shampoo that’s been in beauty supply stores since the dawn of time, and while it does clean my wigs it just doesn’t give them life again. The Shea Moisture wig shampoo however changed the game for me! Not only did it do a beautiful job with cleaning the wig I tried it out on, but it also kept the body in the curls I had put in it. I actually really like the Tea Tree Borage seed oil Residue remover shampoo. It really cleanse your hair of all the dirt and residue, especially if you had braids, sew in or any protective hair styles. After you’ve taken it out, this shampoo really helps to take out all the residue and dirt from your hair without making it dry. The smell is not over bearing or anything. It smells like green tea. I love that it has no sulfates, no parable s, no phthalates, no mineral oil ,petroleum and no animal testing. First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I freaking love this and it’s a must have!!!! I let it dry into my hair after showering and it makes brushing easier.. I’ve also noticed my hair is in better condition!! I've used this product several times since my purchase and I've found it to be a terrific product! I typically use it before applying Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Also, I use it for routine cleansing of my hair. It yields a soft and healthy texture. Since using these products, I've also been using the complete line of Aphogee Keratin Products. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Overall I recommend this because it is a two in one as the heat protectant is a plus to the product.monica.a

I have mixed emotions for this product. Upon initial use, I fell in love with the smell but that was it. I wanted to love this so much, however, my hair fell like crazy in the shower. Came day 2, my hair didn’t fall that bad but I felt that the smell was too strong. I guess it’s safe to say that it’s heavily perfumed. Then came day 3 and so on.. I got used to the smell. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice. But it can be a bit too much for others. The consistency is also weird. While it does foam, I find that it’s jelly-like. I normally like a shampoo that’s a bit runny. This one just wasn’t. I don’t think it helped with toning my hair as well. After a while my scalp also felt itchy. Will I repurchase? Probably not but I’m open to trying their other shampoos.Regina

This purple shampoo is awesome! I bought this before I knew they carried the bigger bottles. I will definitely be back to purchase the bigger bottles of shampoo and conditioner. There’s a lot of negative reviews on this but you to each their own! I also see a lot of reviews with people who have blonde or lighter hair, but let me tell you, I’m a brunette and I absolutely love this. Why do I use purple instead of blue shampoo? Because I like warmer toned hair color. I originally had highlights that were beginning to get as orange as the rotting fall leaves. After fixing the color at home with DPHue at home, I really just wanted a low maintenance look and have my hair grow out. If you have dark hair, you really don’t have to dilute this shampoo out with your regular everyday shampoo (like it suggests on the bottle). If you have light hair, definitely recommend diluting it. I use this three times a week to start off with, then dialed it to twice and then finally once a week, once I achieved the tone I wanted. I love the smell that it leaves in my hair! It’s a light scent, and I like that it is I usually lather on the shampoo, working from the ends to the scalp. Why? The ends take it more of the product and it’s needed there more than the hair near your scalp. I also like that this product is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, gluten and drying alcohol. This shampoo and conditioner is meant for toning and toning only. Not for every day use. I would not recommend it for ever day use because 1) it’s spendy to use every day, and 2) there’s better products for every day use. My hair definitely feels stronger and looks healthier (less split ends) after about three weeks of use. Not sure how this shampoo worked for people. Obviously you’re buying this shampoo because you bleached and coloured your hair, so yes your hair already was damaged a bit. My hair wasn’t silky smooth to start, but it was decent and manageable and could style root to tip. Some of my highlights were turning a little orange and I was going out, I don’t use purple shampoo too often so I picked this up. I used it and left it on for about a minute (the smell was too strong and I didn’t want to smell like it plus it is very pigmented) conditioned with olaplex, and hopped out and air dried my hair (as usual). When brushing my hair, so much of it was breaking. Very slight split ends (since we bleached our hair right?) are curling up and extending up the follicle and breaking. I’m mortified and have to get my hair cut. I’ve been working really hard to keep my hair healthy and didn’t think one purple shampoo wash would destroy it this bad. Any purple shampoo will dry your hair out to an extent, but should never be to the point you have to chop your hair off. Just put the extra money and/or time on a better toning shampoo. Maybe it’ll work, but it’s not worth the gamble.Lina

This shampoo SAVED my hair. I’ve been using Native shampoo conditioner for about 6 months and I noticed my scalp start to have so much dandruff. It was REALLY bad. My hit also seemed really oily pretty quickly. At this point, it felt like I just couldn’t get it out no matter how long I rinsed. There was just lots of build up. This shampoo literally saved my hair. After one wash, it felt significantly better and actually clean. I paired it with the curl quench conditioner on my ends (even though I have straight hair) and use a little on my scalp and my hair looks and feels so much better. I honestly picked this because it was the cheapest clarifier I could find with a good amount of fl oz. I was comparing to other brands. This clarifier is very good and I am glad I picked it up. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. This product will also last long since we should not be clarifying our hair often. I have curly hair with a kinky texture. The directions says to use a dime-quarter size amount and I would stick by that. I used a little more than quarter size and my hair/scalp was clean fast. I could tell the difference with my hair after I used it in terms of how it felt.Sga

I had such high hopes for this brand, and especially the shampoo. I love the way the bottle looks it's so cute in the blush color, and I've heard great things from so many people about that they love the shampoo. I hate it. I need a clarifying shampoo because once a week I put a ton of oil, and sometimes hair masks as well, on my hair. I'm trying to regrow my hair, a little bit over a year ago I was completely bald, so I use mostly biotin and Castor oils. My regular shampoo washes them out pretty well, as well as my cheap drugstore shampoo, even it washes the oils out okay. I just wanted a clarifying shampoo for these weekly hair oil treatments. This shampoo did not wash the oil out of my hair at all! I was worried after shampoo because I didn't feel that squeaky clean feeling I expect from a clarifying shampoo, but I kept going thinking that maybe it was just more moisturizing than others. Nope. I got out of the shower, blow dried my hair, and it looks like I still have a ton of oil in my hair, probably because I do. I really don't understand how this is a clarifying shampoo, I even shampoo twice in my shower too, that's my routine I always shampoo twice but especially when I have oil in my hair. My first order of business today will be returning this thing to Ulta and getting the Ouai Detox that I should have just splurged on in the first place. Then I need to rewash and blow dry my hair again, for the second time within 24 hours which is infuriating. Add to all of that the fact that this thing doesn't have any scent that I can smell. I expect my hair care products to be highly scented, I prefer musky non floral scents but regardless it should be scented. When I stick my nose in the bottle I can vaguely smell something, but when using it in the shower and after: nothing, smells like literally nothing. And I had the same panic too with no scent so I checked and I can smell everything else just not this shampoo. 0/10 would definitely not recommend this shampoo, maybe the regular one is better, but I won't be finding out.jennifer.h

My hair was getting greasy at the crown due to product build up. I have wavy hair so I was using pomade, oil and other styling creams. I noticed that even after washing my hair- it would still remain thick and hard to pull my fingers through at the crown. It was not flowing freely. I tried this last night and used my normal conditioner. I let my hair air dry and woke up this morning to beautiful, clean and bouncy hair!! My hair feels like virgin hair honestly. It did not over strip. My hair feels extremely soft. Most importantly my hair feels clean! I read a few reviews that mentioned the shampoo could not lather up. I did not have this issue at all. I used the applicator directly to my scalp and had no problem working up a lot of suds. I also did not notice any hair loss like other reviews mentioned.
