I cannot stand the crunch that other gels leave me with. I like to feel movement in my hair and it's so hard to find something that holds my curls without stiffening them. That's why I'm so pleased with Bouclème's Super Hold Styler! It makes my 3b curls feels nourished and doesn't weigh them down. I like to use it over my curl cream for extra hold and then use a little throughout the week to keep flyaways down. I will deffo repurchase!
I love every single Boucleme product that I've tried – Hydrating Hair Cleanser, Curl Conditioner, Curl Cream (HOLY GRAIL!!!), Intensive Moisture Treatment (just give me all of it) and the Curl Defining Gel. But I always wished that the Curl Defining Gel would give me a little more hold because I have 2c/3a curls and a little more hold is always appreciated before I scrunch out the crunch. I purchased this gel because of its claim to be a ‘super hold’ styler. The gel I used to purchase (a different brand) is no longer available to I needed a new supply. The consistency is surprisingly runny, like single cream, but it does provide a great hold to the style. I use it on my curls before diffusing. It doesn’t give a very hard ‘cast’ but it does give hold. The smell is like lemon barley water, very pleasant and refreshing. The plastic container looks stylish and is soft enough to squeeze easily. I think the price is a little high but I’ll compare how long it lasts with my previous gel before deciding if it’s worth the investment again.Naomi L.

This is the new formula that should have the blue top. And they are charging as if it’s the old formula which is hard fine. So I just paid way more- thinking I was getting the old version and it’s really the new version that’s available for cheap everywhere! This is one of those hair gels that got you covered for long hours. In this day and age Us guys have become a little self conscious about our hair. I’ve used a few that don’t really last that long and I’ve got to admit my hair needs gel like this to be tamed; plus it smells great. It smells to me like 🍏 green apple and not like glue Lol. What seals the deal for me is the affordable price of this gel: $3.63 (tax included) depending on where you buy it. This gel is great for wash n gos, updos, and laying edges. My wash n gos come out super defined and I get big hair as my style gets old. Then I’ll use this gel to slick up my hair into a puff/bun. I’ve tried many edge controls and none of them last past 2 hours then my edges would start to curl up. But with this gel, I apply it and lay my edges, tie a satin scarf around them, set for 10 minutes, and I’m good to go for the whole day. Sometimes I can get 2 days of laid edges if I’m not working out and/or it’s not super hot out!Azlin R.
