These scissors feel sturdy and have a nice weight to them. I found the length to be perfect of the scissors to be perfect. It is comfortable to use and does have a professional feel to them because of the build quality. The finger holes are on the smaller size, so I would double checking the size of your fingers before making the purchase. These are fantastic scissors for cutting hair. I cut my children's hair and so I was eager to give these a try. First off, the ergonomic on the handle are amazing. There is a notch for your index finger, the regular hole for your middle finger and the finger rest are perfect. They are easy to hold for the repetition opening and closing. There is a plastic stopper that keeps the thumb ring from hitting the middle finger ring. Next there is an adjustment screw so you can loosen or tighten the tension you feel when opening an closing the blades. The adjustment screw is easy to turn and you can feel the difference as it's adjusted. I've tried it a little tighter and looser to see which way I prefer, and it's very easy to adjust. I tend to like them more on the loose side for the smoothest cutting motion. And finally, the blades are very sharp. The package says they are sharpened to the maximum degree. You can tell how sharp it is when cutting. The blades cut through the hair very easily. The tip of the blades is rounded. I really like these scissors and they will get a lot of good use. The packaging doesn't mention a need to grease the screw or sharpen the blades.whitetiger24
