I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. I am obsessed with this wig! This was my 3rd time ordering, but my first time getting a wig installed for daily wear. When I tell you!!!! It doesn’t feel heavy on my head. I've just received my 4th Top Billing topper and wanted to review again. The first two I bought in 2020 and was thrilled. Perfect fit right out of the box, color was exceptional, thick, but not too thick and not too shiny. However when I bought a new Top Billing in Feb of 2021, I could tell the difference right away and sadly the same is true of the one I just got. Two different colors, same problem. The material is thinner, shinier and unwearable without a lot of fussing. It's not as long or as full and because its thinner it flips up on the ends and doesn't look natural. It doesn't hang properly. I have thin hair all over so if I want to wear my hair "down" I need enough thickness on the topper to cover my bio hair. No problem wearing the 2020 Top Billings down, but the new ones I have to clip or pin or wear up because they're too thin. Also the new material is noticeably shinier and I've spent a lot of time washing and dry shampooing to try and get it to look more natural. I'm really disappointed as I've tried a lot of toppers and thought I'd finally found "the one"!Laura
I love the lace front & lightweight quality coverage. On the flip side, the lace front is tricky. I use Milano new topper band. The large size fits perfectly with this piece. I found them on Amazon in large & small. I comb dry hair straight back, use Kenya dry shampoo, which is a little tacky & the band does not slide back, maintaining a nice lace front. I may have bangs trimmed, not sure, yet. But I love this piece. Cap works well for a pony tail ! (Yay) Beautiful part, more like silk look.Michele
I ordered the Raquel Welch Top Billing in color RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut. The topper was pretty but the color was just too dark (maybe too ashy) for me. I previously ordered the RL12/16 Honey Toast — it was a little too light. I am at a loss on how to order the right Raquel Welch color — the professional recommendation was to order the RL10/12 that I just returned. I love the RW heat defiant fiber, density and texture — it looks like REAL hair. My current "go to" toppers are Jon Renau Top Smart in 12/30BT Rootbeer Float and Jon Renau Top Coverage in 12 Light Golden Brown but I just don't love the shiny synthetic (non HD) fiber. (I've tried several techniques to "de-shine" but I'm still not happy.) I think RW Top Billing could be a winner if I can ever find the right color.Donna V.

When I first received the wig I was worried that it would be too thin. But, when I am wearing it, I find that the lower density looks extremely natural and more realistic than the overly thick human hair wigs I have had in the past. The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. The most natural looking wig I have ever purchased. A friend who knows I wear wigs, asked if she was seeing my bio hair. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. I've been wearing this wig for two weeks now. I adore it. It was super easy to cut into layers. I have very thick coarse hair. After a relaxer, my hair and this unit are the same texture. The hair is light and flows nicely. Others have said it's very long. It is long, but ss mentioned previously styles and cuts very easy. I've had some tangling in the back, but the tangles are easily removed with a brush. I have not noticed any shedding with the hair. The combs in the front and back are lengthy and very secure. My go to. Looks so natural. Everyone thinks it's my real hair. Even when the hair starts looking rough, I put a flat iron on it and boom, back to normal. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. I spent days fussing with this wig. I wore it several times, repeatedly arranged the style, and tried to make it work. This wig does NOT look the way it did on air. There was a MASSIVE amount of heavy "hair" on top and no matter how much I fussed with it it looked like I had a big mushroom on top of my head. It also kind of "flopped" weird like it was previously used. I considered having it thinned out but decided I shouldn't have to put forth the effort or money for something that is advertised as "out of the box ready to wear." I love this wig! Evrryone thought that I just colored my hair and got a new cut! In the sun you can see the variation of natural looking colors! Loads of complements and it surely DOES NOT scream wig! I do think that some people may have a issue if it’s not the right style for them. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. This is a beautiful wig. However, the color was a disappointment. My hair is pure white and while I knew it would not be a perfect match I was hoping there would be more similarities. The color description said lightest gray evenly blended with pure white. I feel that there is much more gray than pure white. Also, The wig looked more like a medium gray color with very little pure white standing out. If it weren’t for that I would give it a 5 star rating.
I was waiting for my wig to arrive anxiously. I was worried about the color being too red and also unsure about the fit of the cap on my 23inch head. Turns out that the color is just a warm blond, which is perfect! I do love the platinum highlights around the face! The cap fits my head very well, so no problems there. It's amazing how much it looks like real hair, so much so that in my mind IT IS real hair! Wearing it is like taking a trip down memory lane. I used to have the same color, texture, and cut 35 years ago. I do feel that I look significantly younger wearing this wig. I have very sensitive skin, but this fiber does not irritate my neck. It barely touches my shoulders and does not irritate that skin either. I don't really know how to style hair, so it's lucky that this wig looked great right out of the box. I think it has that European chic. I love the softness of the cut around the face and of the waves. I don't think I'll ever want to wear another wig ever again!
