I wear these socks everyday and they are the best most comfortable sock I have ever worn. They are soft and they do not wear out. They keep the legs cool as they are not overly thick, they are a perfect weight and thickness. I wear these socks during the summer with shorts and they are by far the best over the calf sock I have ever worn. I wear them when I play baseball and I wear them when I ref football games. I wore "ultimax" ski socks for 20 years (yes, really – the same two pair!) until the elastic finally wore out. I researched and found that Snow Whisper Ski Socks were the replacement. I have small ankles and calves and these socks were rather "straight" cut – no contour to accommodate the shape of a ladies leg. The part that covers the foot seems to be the same (very light weight for those with properly fitting boots), but the leg and top of the socks were heavier. Overall, they were ill-fitting – too large for me. Trekt accepted the return, and I purchased Smartwool socks instead. I am hoping for a better fit.
I would have preferred that this sock be higher on my calf. As a size 13 foot I ordered a large. Nice medium cushion and would probably work well as a padded sock with shorter boots. I prefer something heavier in cushioning in this type of sock. Nice sock, nicely made but not for me.Dean M.

I have bought these for my boyfriend, starting 16 years ago. Over any article of clothing (coat) or gear (laptop), he loves these socks. After 16 years, some pairs are understandably getting frayed. He refuses to throw them away, and wears them for cutting the grass, etc. He doesn't like socks that make his feet too hot or too cold. He doesn't like socks that give him blisters. He doesn't like socks that are too tight around the calves (he's a big guy). He doesn't like socks that fall down around his ankles. Very disappointing. Could have been avoided by packing the socks face to face. I'm still waiting a response from the company.Joni N.
I have a friend that used to own a running store in the 90's and she swore by these socks but I had never heard of them. I bought two pair for some super long hikes and they were superb. 2 layers, yet not bulky. Blister free after 2 days and 30+ miles. I will be buying more of these soon!BrianInLA
